CALL TO ARTISTS - EXCEPTIONAL ABSTRACTIONS

    abstraction

    • The quality of dealing with ideas rather than events.
    • The process of considering something independently of its associations, attributes, or concrete accompaniments.
    • Strictly speaking, the word abstract means to separate or withdraw something from something else.

The main purpose of abstraction in art is not to tell a story, but to encourage involvement and imagination. This art form has as its main objective to provide viewers with an intangible and emotional experience, being completely different for each individual, depending on their personality and mood.

Submit up to three pieces of your work that meets the parameters of this Call To Artists.  The Show will be in the Burka Member Lounge from early October through November.

WADA is looking for volunteers willing to work @ the ArtsXchange during Second Saturday Artwalk.  Here is some of the ways you can help us:

    1. Gallery Guardians - be a gallery guide in the Tully Levine Gallery or the Burka Member Lounge to assist people in purchasing artwork or answer general questions.

    2. WADA Art Store on the Plaza - help in answering questions and take payments for people purchasing member artwork.

    3. Membership Table - we are always trying to recruit new members to WADA -   answer questions and help process payments for joining members.

Ideally, we want each of these tasks filled from 5-9pm, but we don't expect everyone to be able to be there for the full time. If you can volunteer a few hours it will be most helpful!

    Questions?? send inquiries to: info@whereartismade.com

    Thanks!
