It happens to us all: You loved your art, but now you’ve grown apart. So bring that art to an event where you can exchange it for something you like better!
Your ticket is the art you bring (one or more pieces you would like to exchange). If you don’t want to exchange art, come and make a $10 donation in support of the renovations at the ArtsXchange. Only people that bring art can participate in the exchange, but everyone is welcome to take part in silent and live auctions of new art in many mediums.
We’ll have food available from The International Dumpling Truck and a cash bar presented by The Amsterdam.
Proceeds will benefit renovations of the ArtsXchange warehouses into affordable studio space for artists, arts education and an environment for arts lovers to learn about and enjoy their passion. A win-win for everyone.
So how does an Art Exchange work? If you have art in any medium you want to swap, bring your art to the event on April 30th from 6-7pm. You’ll be given a wrist band indicating how many pieces of art you can swap. The swap will begin at 7:15 p.m. Arriving sooner than later increases the chances of seeing what’s available to pick from during the swap period.
Live and Silent Auctions – Bid quietly during the silent auction or out loud and fast during the Live Auction on local artist's work valued at $250 or more!
The art in the swap is for artists and non-artists. The art in the auctions are artist’s originals.
