Mr. Kiefer's photographic exhibit "El Sueno Americano" (The American Dream) is a remarkable photographic depiction of the choices undocumented migrants’ make when packing their most valuable items to journey across the border. This visually stunning and powerful photographic art exhibit will have its Southeast debut at our own ArtsXchange Gallery during Second Saturday ArtWalk.
Keifer hopes his work lends another layer to the coverage and stories we hear in the media about the immigrants who come to the United States. Check out his media coverage here and join us on Saturday!
Tom Kiefer’s exhibit runs through November 3rd. Gallery hours are Thursday – Saturday from 10am-5pm from October 19 – November 3rd. Admission is $10 but free for Warehouse Arts District members.
****While you're at the ArtsXchange St Pete during ArtWalk, browse the studios of 25 working artists in disciplines ranging from painting, jewelry making, journalism, sculpture, photography and more! Some may even be showing live demos!
FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Donation bar (cash only) with proceeds benefiting the Warehouse Arts District Association.
ATTENTION MEMBERS ONLY!
Diane will be interviewing Tom on September 21st in a video using questions that our members have sent her to ask him. She can’t promise with the time allotment that she can get through all of the questions but they are both looking forward to hearing from our members.
Although this exhibit is part of Artwalk on October 13th, an October 25th Private Event just for members will include a viewing of the artist talk video interview by Tom Kiefer and Diane (this will not be done at Artwalk and will be the only time to see this video).
This event is free for current members of the Warehouse Arts District Association.
