    Dive into the world of video marketing for artists. Two contemporary visual artists, Mark Mitchell and Weldon Ryan, share their insights and tips for maximizing exposure of their art through video. Hear their stories, ask questions, and check out examples of how they’ve leveraged video as a marketing tool to reach a broader audience.

    Mark Mitchell

    • is an international artist and painter of Conceptual Pop Art. 

    • He is a graduate of PRATT Manhattan, an alum of the School of Visual Arts, NYC, and a former advertising Creative Director. 

    • Mark’s work has been exhibited during Art Basel Miami at SCOPE Art Fair, been shared on digital displays at The Louvre and during Armory Arts Week NYC, been selected by pop-surrealism master Ron English for Baton Rouge Gallery, and has gained west coast exposure at bG GALLERY, Santa Monica, California. 

    • Around Tampa Bay, Mark’s paintings have received awards at major art festivals and exhibit venues. His work is on display in public areas, including a large-scale showcase at Hyatt House, Tampa Airport/Westshore. 

    • He is a proud recipient of the Creative Pinellas Artist Grant.

    • By drawing on the power of pop culture, he repurposes its icons, styles, and techniques to deliver a personal artistic statement rich with social commentary. Mark explores the irony, contradictions, parallels, and harmonies found in 21st-century life.

    Weldon Ryan

    • was born in The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. 

    • He graduated in Art and Design 1981 and attended the State University at New Paltz (1981-82), followed with an AA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in General Illustration. 

    • Over the next years he illustrated for many Advertising Agencies. 

    • He expanded his career to include the NYC Urban Park department for development of Pelham Bay Nature Center in the Bronx and in 1989 joined the NYPD as a Detective/Police Officer and as a Forensic Artist from 1994 until his retirement in 2004. 

    • He now resides in Palm Coast, Florida, with his wife, Richlin Burnett-Ryan, who is also an artist. 

    • The Ryan’s founded Calypso Fine Art Gallery which has transitioned to virtual CalypsoFineArt.com, and they curate exhibits for Bethune Cookman University.

    • Weldon works primarily in oils. He is the foremost painter of Caribbean Culture, featuring the works of West Indian Carnival revelers and other significant paintings about the Caribbean Diaspora.

    Second Saturday ArtWalk Marketplace: June 11, 2022 5:00pm to 9:00pm

    The ArtsXchange campus on the Deuces Corridor is an anchor destination for ArtWalk visitors. We promote ArtWalk through out own marketing channels and those of the Arts Alliance. You can now add your social media handles to the registration form so that we can tag you in our event marketing.

    Register now to reserve a space for the Second Saturday ArtWalk, June 11

    Tent space is limited, so reserve early. The completion of our Education Center and the Rise memorial have increased foot-traffic to all sections of the ArtsXchange plaza. Every tent space has high visibility.


    Terms and Conditions
    • Offered exclusively to WADA Members for a $25 registration fee.
    • You must be an artisan selling personally handcrafted goods.
    • WADA provides a 10'x10" space on the plaza with access to electricity.
    • You provide a weather-stable tent with weights at all corners.
    • You provide all props, displays, lighting; suitable for outdoor weather conditions.
    • Space is allocated on a first come basis, after check-in with a WADA representative, on the day of the event. No set-ups prior to 3:00 pm.
    • ArtWalk runs from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Weather permitting, all vendors must remain open for the duration of the event.
    • Refunds: Registration fee can be refunded if cancellation is made prior to June 8, 2022. If weather conditions at the time of ArtWalk prevent set-up, fee can be refunded or credited to next month. Refunds differ for incentive pricing.

    Elements of Nature

    Fire, Earth, Sky, Water

    The four elements of nature in classic antiquity explained the universe - representations still found in art today. Whether it's the materials you use or your interpretation of the elements, show us how these ancient concepts apply to your creative process.


    Call for Entries:  The Warehouse Arts District Association is pleased to announce our next member show.

    Theme: Elements of Nature: Fire, Earth, Sky, Water

    Exhibition Dates: Artworks selected from the entries that best fit the theme will remain on exhibit in the Burka Member Lounge at the ArtsXchange campus on the Deuces Corridor during June and July 2022.

    Opening Night: Second Saturday Art Walk, June 11, 5:00 to 9:00

    Deadline for Entry: Members are invited to submit up to two works by May 31
