The Frances McSwain Pruitt and J. Crayton Pruitt Arts Education Center

We couldn't have built the Arts Education Center without the very generous support of grants and donations.

Here are the organizations and individuals who gave generously so that we are moving forward to building the Pruitt Arts Education Center. Getting to the point where we will break ground on the Education Center early 2021 is a huge accomplishment, thanks to very generous sponsors:

City of St. Petersburg

St Petersburg Downtown  Partnership

Senator Jeff Brandes

Michael Bates

WADA Pruitt Arts Education Center

Let’s face it.  Because the arts play such a significant role in our lives, it so profoundly heartbreaking to see the effect COVID-19 has had on the arts in our tight-knit St Petersburg community.  We are hearing story after story about artists – even some well-established ones – who are facing economic disaster as shows are cancelled, galleries are closed and events like Second Saturday Artwalk are scratched.

The WADA Artist Relief Fund is designed to provide immediate, unrestricted emergency funding to artists at $500 each.

Please give as generously as you can to this crucial effort.  In these critical times, we need to come together to support the vitally important sector of our community – the artists.

Thank you.

* Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. More than 200 community campaigns have been launched across the US. This Giving Tuesday is in response to the COVID-19 epidemic that has affected communities around the globe.
